David Adeleke a.k.a Davido, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter from the city of Lagos, who is signed to Sony Music Entertainment Africa. Davido music career started at a young age when he began composing music to entertain himself and his friends. In 2010, he released his first studio album, Omo Baba Olowo, which reached number one on the Billboard World Albums Chart and was ranked as the second best-selling album in Nigeria that year.

In 2011, he signed a record deal with Sony Music Entertainment and released his first studio album Ídó Úkù in 2014, He also has a record label named Davido Music Worldwide.

He first gained international recognition in 2012 with his single “Omo Alhajara”, which became a top-10 hit on various local Nigerian radio stations.
